M 43 Gymnasterka for medical / veterinary service in RKKA. Well worn high quality brownish khaki color made from Imperial diagonal tricko wool. Private tailor made gymnasterka jacket with half-soft type shoulder boards, which is custom re-done (common practice for that period). The metal insignia branch emblems of aesculapius are originally veterinary service, due white color, but a field khaki paint coated by order from 1941 year. The stars on the boards are gold color and that's correct for for medical service officer, but to be veterenary straps they should be in silver color. However at the front line there were many strange combinations of insignia, often not by order. The rank is junior voenfeldsher (младший военфельдшер) or junior military paramedic. All buttons are not war time applied, due the jacket has been heavily worn and most of its original buttons were missed during period. Size: Chest 100, cuff 55 cm
