German WW1 Bayerisches cavalry KD 89 sabre with engraving : 1 Ulan.RGT. Kaiser Wilhelm II Koenig v. Preussen, and on the other side has Bavarian motto "In treue Fest", also the owner's markings on the blade B. Mehrhof. The blade is good, but as is after the owner's hand is unpolished and un-cleaned from some staining, which can be easily removed by the next owner. The handle is a bit cracked and show traces of hard use. Also the scabbards has some minor damages. Very rare example belonged to the officer of the First Ulan Regiment of the Imperator Kaiser Wilhelm 2, Life Guards. |
