| Red Cross EM Hewer with frog. No maker. Nickel-plated hilt fittings show light surface with speckling to plating primarily on the handle and cross-guard. Very nice Red Cross emblem on the cross-guard langet. Black bakelite grips are perfect with no cracks, but with minor oxidation to screws. Double saw-tooth blade showing only minor runner marks and in very nice condition. Reverse is stamped, "Ges.Geschützt" and is complete with tan leather blade buffer pad. Steel scabbard retains approximately 90% of the original black paint showing minor surface cracks to the black paint. Nickel-plated scabbard fittings show light surface wear and minor surface rusting with no damage to retaining screws. Hewer is complete with original 4-rivet triple-stitched leather frog showing hard wear with lower reverse frog marked H. |
