Gun City has travelled all the way to Europe to bring German helmets to you, the passionate collector. There has never been a better time, except perhaps after the battle of Stalingrad, to pick up a WW2 style German helmet!! This is the ultimate addition to any military collection and one of the three most iconic helmets in the World. These are M55 helmets, made by German factories after World War 2, to supply the Finnish Army. Manufactured in the design of the M40 Nazi helmet - rolled edges and pressed ventilation holes, the same style as the bulk of those used in WW2 The helmets all have Finnish made leather liners & chin straps so they are complete We have TWO COLOURS available Grey or Green. Just add $30 onto the price for a Green helmet, which we have less of. There are three GRADES* OF HELMET to choose from: Tidy - $269 – smooth surface with minor denting and good overall paint. Great for repainting if desired. Moderate - $199 – fair paint with denting. Weathered - $149 – Low paint coverage and denting, possibly some rust. Some of the M55 helmets were not drilled for an aftermarket strap, add $15 if you wish to purchase this model. Helmets are of varying sizes – we cannot guarantee sizing but, please specify in sm, med, lg if you have a size preference and we will do our best to find a suitable size. *We do our best to accurately describe helmets and condition, but please remember, these are 55 years old and are not brand new, so there will be dings , scrapes and paint missing (Which further adds to the attraction!). 	M34 civil steel helmet for fire police	M34 civil steel helmet for fire police, reissued by Fliegerhorst Kommandatur of the 52. Jagdgeschwader Abteilung. The units decal and light grey paint were made by this unit's depot. The helmet still has the police decals under the paint, left side applied police decal is still visible under the layer of paint, French M 26 liner re-attached instead of original civil liner. 	Original Wehrmacht re-issued M18 cut-out steel helmet	Original Wehrmacht re-issued M18 cut-out steel helmet. This is extremely rare helmet which has a couple of layers of paint, first is original apple-green paint, and the second is rough textured paint. Each layer of paint has a decal. The left ventilation "horn" is looks like re-attached by depot workshop. Underneath of a decal is visible first factory or depot applied decal, looks like ET type, over is the Strache type decal, which is seen mostly on the re-issued helmets. The helmet is well marked ET 64 and dome steel stamp is S 13 45 N, but not a clear visible first digits. Liner is with steel ring as normal for after 1940 year production. The first paint is for Swedish air forces, dark blue color with yellow stenciled insignia on the left side of the helmet. Then the helmet re-issued and repainted field green color.
