	The Iron Cross Ring of the year 1914.	This unique ring is from the World War One period. The Iron Cross Ring of the year 1914. The ring is made of sterling silver with a silver hallmark inside the band. This is a very dramatic-looking piece of Reich jewelry that will be the pride of any good WW I collection. The ring size is approx. 21 mm (USA SIZE 11 ½ ). Reads on the outside "DEM ALTEN VATERLAND DIE TREUE ZU BEWEISEN GAB ICK IN SCHWERER ZEIT IHM GOLD FUR DIE SES EISEN" the text is kind a poem which says "to show the old fatherland my loyalty I gave gold in hard times to get this iron" The Ring made in New York prior to entry of U.S. into WW1. 	German WW1 Bayerisches cavalry KD 89 sabre	German WW1 Bayerisches cavalry KD 89 sabre with engraving : 1 Ulan.RGT. Kaiser Wilhelm II Koenig v. Preussen, and on the other side has Bavarian motto "In treue Fest", also the owner's markings on the blade B. Mehrhof. The blade is good, but as is after the owner's hand is unpolished and un-cleaned from some staining, which can be easily removed by the next owner. The handle is a bit cracked and show traces of hard use. Also the scabbards has some minor damages.
